We get it.
The grind. The pressure. The dream.
Finding my why
“In high school, I struggled with needing to be perfect. I’d approach every game with feeling like if I didn’t play the best, score the most goals, or win then I was somehow a failure. College coaches wouldn’t want me. And I wouldn’t get recruited to a Division I school. Every game became life or death. It was exhausting trying to always live up to the mile-high expectations I set for myself.
It wasn’t until my junior and senior years that I started to realize the importance of my mental game. I became a captain of my teams and through my school I participated in a leadership development course. This changed my whole perspective. It wasn’t just about me anymore. It was about how I showed up for the team. How I showed up for my school. Through this process, I started to take a look at who I was outside of field hockey and lacrosse. Why did it matter to me?
I started to figure out that what I truly cared about was working hard, having discipline, feeling confident, and showing up for others. It wasn’t just about winning or losing anymore. And because of this, the pressure started to become less and less. I focused more on my habits and my relationships and less on scoring goals and winning awards.
And turns out, the goals and the awards came later, but it was never about that. Having coaches, teachers, and parents that supported me meant the world to me and I truly would not have become the person I am today without them. Now, looking back, it wasn’t the drills or the game plans that I remember the most, it was the conversations, the high-fives, the “you’ve got this,” that I’ll always remember.
That’s why I started this service — to give student-athletes the tools and the resources they need to thrive. From my own experiences, I truly believe that success isn’t just about talent. It’s about the process. It’s about your values. It’s about coaches and teachers developing the whole-athlete, not just teaching how to win or how to get a 4.0 GPA.
Every athlete deserves the opportunity to reach their goals. Whether that’s to play at a Division I school or to make their varsity team. With the right support and a little guidance, I believe that everyone can find their version of what success means.
Turns out, my “why” hasn’t changed all that much.”

Anne-Marie Farmer, B.S.
Anne-Marie is a passionate coach and teacher dedicated to helping student-athletes unlock their full potential. Her love for sports began at an early age, lacing up her skates and stepping onto the ice all before the sun came up. Those chilly mornings in Vermont instilled a relentless work ethic, fueling the long hours she’d later spend training on the field, track, and rink. Her dedication, grit, and hard work led her to achieve her dream of becoming a two-time high school all-American in lacrosse and earning the Jackie Pitts Award for her notable contributions to her team, school, and community.
With a background as a Division I field hockey and lacrosse player, she understands the demands on student-athletes firsthand. As a team captain, she experienced the mental battles that come with high-level competition —overcoming self-doubt, handling pressure, and leading with confidence. She went on to lead her team to the conference tournament and received the Catamount Grit Award and Most Valuable Player her senior year.
In her professional career, she has spent over 8 years working in public, private, and therapeutic schools, working as a teacher, counselor, and assistant principal, specializing in academic advising and college counseling. She knows that success isn’t just about physical ability; it’s about putting in the hard work and building mental toughness to excel both on and off the field. Through a collaborative and relational approach, Anne-Marie combines her professional knowledge with her collegiate experience to guide athletes and their families toward success at every level.
